The Petri Experiment

Here are a few more shots from our drive with Petri through the Anza Borrego desert:

                 

On our way out, we happened upon the Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge.  While I don't think that the refuge is necessarily worth it's own trip just because it's so small, I couldn't think of a more perfect place to have serendipitously found with Petri on board. Holy birds and bunnies!  Petri had a standoff with a roadrunner and had it not been for the leash, I think the world would be short of 1 baby bunny.
